Today is another special day around our house. It is Tracy’s birthday. My wife is the most incredible person I have ever met. I don’t tell her near enough how much she means to me so I thought I would give a nowhere near exhaustive list of some of the things that I love about her.

10. Even when things aren’t perfect and life is tough I always know that her love is steadfast.

8. No matter how difficult I can be (and I can be fairly difficult and hard to live with) she somehow wants to be around me. That never ceases to amaze me.

7. Her laughter is one of the most genuine, beautiful sounds you will ever hear.

6. She is perpetually friendly and ingratiating to everyone she meets. She’s never met a stranger.

5. She is incredibly intelligent and engages me regularly although she doesn’t believe that she is and doesn’t believe that she does.

4. She has a passion for God and for prayer that draws me back from the academic into the beauty of relationship.

3. She is not enamored with stuff and status and material things. She is so satisfied with the simple things of life.

2. She is the most humble, generous and down to earth person I know.

1. She is a wonderful mother and has blessed me with the three most beautiful girls in the world. She comes alive in ways I never imagined with those girls. I am blessed each day to see her interact, nuture and love them.
