Put an asterisk by my name because I often rely on my power rather than the power of Him.
Put an asterisk by my name because I often look the part but betray it by my actions.
Put an asterisk by my name because I claim allegiance to Christ but deny Him too often.
Put an asterisk by my name because I point fingers at others and fail to see my own failures.
Put an asterisk by my name because I have beefed myself up on knowledge and theory and rely too infrequently on faith.
Put an asterisk by my name because I don’t belong in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Put an asterisk by my name because the achievements, the abilities and the gifts aren’t truly mine.
Put an asterisk by my name because everything I have become is due to Another.

Well said. You could also put an asterisk by our names because neither of us could have ever hit a homerun with or without steroids. I am left to wonder, however, do we get to stop our worship service and make a narcissitic speech after we preach our 756th homerun sermon? That might be something to shoot (if not shoot up) for.
