Oklahoma

September 29th, 2007 | by Scott |

Where the wind comes sweeping down the plains.

It means “red people.”

It has 3.5 million people making it the 28th most populous state.

It’s the Sooner State.

The 46th state to enter the union.

As part of tornado alley, it averages 54 tornadoes each year.

I could live here.

I’ll bet a lot of them are unhappy right now.

    In Colorado, however…

Actually, Oklahoma means “home of the red man.” And we would be honored to have a man of your character live here.

We in Oklahoma are not unhappy at the outcome of the Colorado game, because it was offset by the drubbing the Longhorns took at the hands of Kansas State.

Greg, that was a cheap shot! But, Jason makes a great point.

We loved our six years in Ohhhhhhklahoma!

I’ve been there once and ended up only half a mile from a tornadoe which is way too close in my book. Find a house with a nice deep basement.

I would drive however many miles out of the way it is to go around Oklahoma if I ever had to go to Kansas or Nebraska. In fact, I am uncomfortable in the Metroplex because you can smell it when the wind is blowing down from the north. (Isn’t that nice and over the top for Texas-Oklahoma Week?) As for Saturday, OU fans should get their get-well therapy because my Horns, uh, let’s go with stink.

Boomer Sooner!!!! Oklahoma is great place, sub zero temps in the winter and triple digit heat in the summer and there is always a breeze (don’t believe me) just look at the trees next time you go…they all lean to the north. Lived there for 12 years…would move back in a heartbeat.
