I know. I was surprised to learn that too.

    practice has begun, the first games are next week.

    it’s college basketball season now.

    No, hunting and fishing are as much of a sport as driving around in a circle for 500 miles is.

    Lane, I’ve heard rumors but can’t confirm anything.

    Kayte, it can be. It’s so violent that it’s been outlawed in several states though.

    Lane, hockey season doesn’t end unless they are on strike. It’s just a continuous season now.

    Lane, in my four year experience of living in Alabama, it seemed college basketball season never started. I remember Alabama being ranked in the top 5 one year during January, and people were still talking about football. Seems there were only 2 sports - football and spring football. And maybe a little of that ‘driving around in a circle’ Scott mentioned.

    You mean you missed the world rugby championships a couple of weeks ago? South Africa beat down England in the final. You should at least give some props to the world sport that spawned American Football…
