I have to admit that it took me a while to get into Sorceror's Stone. I'm also aware that my take on it is strongly influenced by having read it with my daughter. We experienced all the books together and that made it special. I do highly recommend them. I listened to C&P on audio. It was worth finishing. Harry Potter is definitely worth it. American Gods is the first book I purchased on my Kindle. Had to finish a couple of others before I could begin it, though. Erhman's book I read last year and liked a lot. I've continued to avoid the Harry Potter books. Are they worth it? I may be judging them based on the first movie, which I saw and thought it sucked.
