Two years ago I was up to 10 miles a pop.
Now, nothing. And I can't seem to psych myself up to get back out there.
Any suggestions? Surely somebody has the magic words to get me to slip on the Brooks again.
Oh and any suggestions to get me ...

Two years ago, today, after an unsatisfying dinner (who sets out to go to Golden Corral, anyway? It's not a destination, just a place you end up due to circumstances, right?) and a Krispy Kreme dessert I decided to see if I could run a mile.

Tracy and I are looking at health insurance. Do any of you have any experience with Medi-Share?
It's a Christian based non-profit organization where the members share expenses. It is not insurance. I'd like some feedback from anybody with any knowledge of the program.

2 years ago I lost in the neighborhood of 70 pounds. Through dieting, exercise and determination I was able to shed the weight that I've carried around most of my life.
In that period I took up running. As I worked up to 20-25 miles a week I was able to ...

My cholesterol was inching higher and higher. I was susceptible to high blood pressure and diabetes.
My culinary choices were keeping ...

One year ago yesterday, after a meal and needless dessert, I got the idea to throw on my tennis shoes and attempt to run a mile.
Needless to say, I was completely unable to achieve that goal. Walking home in the rain I realized that, despite significant weight loss, I still ...

Make that 502 miles to be exact. I achieved this afternoon the second of my two running goals for 2005 (I did a 10 mile run about a week ago).
What made today especially sweet for me is that I did it while pushing my two oldest daughters in our jogging ...

I've talked it over with the missus. Beginning today, I will train for my first marathon.
Here is the training plan that I am going to be using (modified from Runner's World)
I ask my running cronies (Jeff, Chris, George) for any insight, advice or pointers you want to share.
My goal marathon ...

When I began running back at the beginning of the year I set two goals for myself:
Run 10 miles in one outing.
Run 500 miles in 2005
Today, I ran 10 miles.
And I only had to stop once for a bathroom break.
Sometime in the next few weeks I will crest 500 miles.
Time ...
